Waiting Children

This is a resource list of children, some of whom reside at SCH, that are currently listed for international adoption with the advocacy website Reece’s Rainbow.

SCH Kids

Meet *Georgie, is a 3-year-old boy who turns 4 at the end of May! He lives at Courage Home, and is waiting for his forever family to find him! Meet *Chloe, a 7 year old girl who lives at Courage Home and is waiting for her family to find her. PD: *Chloe wears a frilly, pink ballet tutu & white tights, ready for class! She has her hands on her hips & bangles on each wrist. Her face is cropped out of the photo to protect her identity.

Meet *Nolan, an 11 year old boy who turns 11 in February, who lives at Courage Home and is waiting for his family to find him. PD: *Nolan wears a sky blue shirt & red bandanna w/white stars. He smiles brilliantly under the graphic that protects his identity by covering his face.

Meet *Molly, an 11 year old girl who lives at Courage home and is waiting for her family to find her. Meet *Paxton, a 15 year old girl who lives at Joy Home and is waiting for her family to find her. *PAXTON AGES OUT SOON! Meet *Honor, a girl who is estimated to be around age 12 (she believes she is older and looks older, as well), from Joy Home, who is waiting for her family to find her. Meet *Julie, a girl who is estimated to be about 9 years old, lives at Anchor Home, and is waiting for her family to find her. PD: *Julie wears a pink polka dotted shirt and purple eyeglasses. Outside SCH

*Benjamin, listed on Reece’s Rainbow, has suspected Progeria and needs a family to commit to him ASAP! He lives in China.

*Posey, listed on Reece’s Rainbow, is blind, has a complicated medical history, and lives in a adult mental institution in an Eastern European country. She needs out, FAST! (Excerpt: “There are many resources available in the US for children who have the same diagnoses as *Posey, and it is clear she would benefit from significant intervention that she has simply not gotten in an orphanage or institution.)

*Donnie, listed on Reece’s Rainbow, has cerebral palsy and some other disabilities that need addressing. He also lives in a mental institution for adults in an EE country. He needs out ASAP.

*Lizzie (from China), listed on Reece’s Rainbow, is blind, though she does have some light perception. She attends is part of a special program for blind kids, attends a special school, and receives weekly therapy. She has had speech and language therapy classes for 8 months and she has learned so much! She can communicate through signs but she has loved the freedom that comes with being able to communicate what she wants.
