In this post, I want to take a few minutes to recap Find Me Friday in 2018! I’ve already had my 1st feature of 2019 (on 1/4), and I am so excited about upcoming developments! More SCH kids are being listed at a higher frequency than ever before. Children in this particular area of India where SCH is located are available to single mothers. Other children I write about typically live in one of the following areas: Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, and South Asia. Many are available to older parents and large families; some are available to single mothers and/or single fathers.

Here is a breakdown of all the kids who were featured in Find Me Friday features in 2018!

Notes about SCH Adoptions & Sponsorships

PD: the SCH logo – black text reads ‘sch’; red text below reads ‘sarah’s covenant homes’; heart-shaped flowers bloom from the name.

A note about names: SCH uses online nicknames for their children in order to protect  identities, per Indian government guidelines which state children in care may not have identifying photos of them on the internet, as well as no identifying information such as birth name. Because of this, no full-face photos will be posted an any of my SCH posts.

Many other children at SCH are also available for adoption. If you are from the US, you could adopt any eligible waiting child under the age of 15 (up to age 18 in some places outside the US and domestic to each specific country – check with local government(s) to learn more.) For more information regarding adoption from India, you can visit this site. It is the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) of the Ministry of Women & Child Development.

SCH Sponsorship

SCH relies on donations to keep running. Donation opportunities include child sponsorship at any cost per month, from as low as $25/month. Sponsorship usually costs between $300 and $400 per child, depending on complexity of needs and which city they live in (Ongole or Hyderabad). You can sponsor any child who needs additional funding at SCH by using the resources found here. You can also become a medical sponsor (ideal for large groups or organizations who wish to support SCH) and donate toward monthly emergency medical expenses; or an educational sponsor and donate toward a specific on-site school.
