Looking through the South Asia listings on Reece’s Rainbow, looking for updates on any SCH children’s profiles, I realized there are some other kids listed in the region. Because they do not have photos due to restrictions placed by their respective governments, they can often be overlooked. Hence the point of this post! Let’s boost visibility of these kids so they have an equal opportunity for their families to find them.

Find my reference page here.

So today, without further ado, I’m going to share some of these precious ones with you!

Joshua likes to imitate the actions of other children, and can follow simple instructions. He enjoys singing, dancing, and engaging in group games. Joshua shares his toys with other children. He can dress and undress independently, and knows where to put his dirty clothes. Joshua is physically healthy, and has never been ill except with an occasional cold. He is currently attending a special education class. He can sit still in class and is able to match shapes, sort colors, and identify body parts. Joshua can color, trace lines, build, and connect blocks. He can be trained to do things with adult supervision. We hope just the right family comes forward for Joshua and that he makes it home before his 16th birthday!

$26.00 has been donated towards the cost of my adoption! You can donate toward the cost of my adoption too, on my advocacy page! There is also a $2,500 agency grant for Kellan’s adoption with his current adoption agency.

Kellan is a seriously adorable little boy diagnosed with congenital heart disease and Down Syndrome. He is monitored by a children’s hospital cardiologist, and regularly takes maintenance medications for his heart condition. Kellan loves to cuddle, and though he doesn’t mind playing alone, he does have a special friend he likes to play with. He laughs when tickled and when being entertained. Kellan can grab toys, sit, and stand while pushing a walker. He sways his body when he hears music, and will turn his head when his name is called. Kellan regularly smiles and loves to wave goodbye and blow kisses. He can babble two-syllable words. Though you can’t see his pictures publicly, take our word for it – Kellan is one cute little boy!

*Photos and video are available for seriously interested families. Kellan is from a small Asian country. Per his country’s regulations, pictures and videos can only be shared with seriously interested families directly and are not allowed to be shared publicly. Kellan’s file is listed with multiple agencies with a sending program from this country, and approval is dependent on the head of adoption in this particular country.

Simon loves being around people and making faces! He cannot speak, but does communicate through facial expressions and some noises. When praying before meals, he bows down his head and says “ahh” when everyone says “Amen.” We’re hoping a wonderful, loving family comes forward for this special little boy! Simon is a very sweet little boy who currently lives with several older girls and is the last remaining “baby” in his home.

From a traveling family who met Simon:

Within the three days we spent at the orphanage, we were able to bond with him to the point he would smile and get excited when he saw us. The older girls told us he can understand what they say to him. He enjoys being held and carried around, but spends most of his day sitting in a baby walker or high chair. He seems very easygoing, as we didn’t see him complain about being put in his crib for nap time, etc. The caregivers are working on his motor skills. He can eat with assistance and enjoyed the ice cream we brought! It’s so easy to fall in love with this little boy! We are praying his family sees him soon!

Justine was born in 2008. A psychological assessment in 2014 noted her to have a learning disability.

She underwent another psychological assessment in 2015, and the results stated her intellectual capacity is above average. Justine was enrolled in a regular school, and was noted by her teacher to have good leadership skills. In 2017, Justine was recommended by her neuro-developmental pediatrician to attend special education classes, where she will be given individualized learning instructions tailored to fit her needs. In 2018, Justine attended mainstream school and completed 2nd grade. Justine enjoys singing and dancing. She can easily make friends, but easily gets upset when she is teased or when her toys and other personal belongings are taken. Justine is attentive, loves to talk, and take part in conversation. She enjoys outdoor play.
