Original post:

Friends, I have some amazing news to share! In the wake of *Teagan’s recent adoption,  Courage Home Purple has grown by 1 addition! His online name is *Georgie, and he has the absolutely cutest chubby cheeks! *Georgie is 4 years old and is functionally blind with light perception. He is the official baby of the home, who is quickly burning through his supply of pants! To find out more about how you can help, read on! [This need has been covered – see below]

As *Georgie settles into his new home, he’ll need some extra support! Below, foster parent Lydia provides some ways you can help him thrive:

“As we anticipate with each child that comes into our care, *Georgie’s first few months with us will be about getting him healthy and strong. Right now, he is dealing with some gastric issues, especially as his system acclimates to more nutritive foods. That being said, our little guy has been going through pants kinda quickly!

That being said, here are four simple ways you can support *Georgie as he transitions into life in our home!

1) Check out our Amazon wishlist through [this link] and purchase a coming home outfit for him! (As I said, we need pants and we need a lot of ’em.) Everything purchased off of this list comes right to our front door. (1 US dollar is equivalent to 65 Indian rupees). NEED COVERED!

2) Donate directly to Courage Home to support our day-to-day operations and the other additional expenses we’ll have in the coming weeks (new medicines, doctors appointments, diagnostics, etc.) [here!] ONGOING NEED

3) Join *Georgie’s team of sponsors [here]! Child sponsorship is how SCH is able to operate and how we are able to bring in more kids. Supporting *Georgie through sponsorship not only affects his life but it makes an incredible impact in our home and in our organization at large. FULLY SPONSORED!

4) Share this post! Share our journey with *Georgie! I’m convinced the more people who know about him and his chunky cheeks the better the world will be.

Stay tuned as this sugar plum shows us more and more of his bubbly and bright personality. He is joyful and snuggly, and he is quite the fan of silly noises, drums, popcorn and show-tunes (yes, much like the rest of the house)!”

Oh boy, am I so excited to get this little one a birthday gift each year he’s at SCH!

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly get this published so all that want to help out can do so! I will try to come back and revise this post tomorrow if needed.

An important part of SCH’s work is YOU! SCH relies on donations to keep running. Donation opportunities include child sponsorship at any cost per month, from as low as $25/month. Sponsorship usually costs between $300 and $500 per child, depending on complexity of needs and the city in which they live (Ongole or Hyderabad).

You can sponsor any child who needs additional funding at SCH by using the resources found here. Use  these resources to get involved in other ways, such as becoming an advocate or volunteering. You can also become a medical sponsor (ideal for large groups or organizations who wish to support SCH) and donate toward monthly emergency medical expenses; or become an educational sponsor and donate toward a specific on-site school! Also, here is the link to SCH’s general fund. In addition, you can give a one-time donation to any home by visiting each home’s landing page on SCH’s official website, under the heading “Meet Our Kids”! Learn about other ways to give charitably to SCH here, and check back often for additional opportunities.

*A note about names: SCH uses online nicknames for the children in order to protect their identity, per Indian government guidelines which state that children in care may not have identifying photos of them on the internet, as well as no identifying information such as birth name, place of origin, etc.
